ZEBRA PUBLISHING is an independent publishing house specializing in high-quality children’s literature, with a special emphasis on books for toddlers and preschoolers. The publishing house was founded in 2000 by Nira Harel, one of the most prominent and beloved voices in Israeli children’s literature. For nearly twenty years, Zebra published only Nira’s books—works that have become an integral part of all our childhoods. In 2020, Tami Harel joined as Editor-in-Chief, marking a new chapter in Zebra’s history. Since then, we have also been publishing books by other creators—both original works and translations from Israel and around the world. Tami Harel is a seasoned editor in the field of children’s literature, possessing extensive experience in developing content for early childhood and a deep love for language, storytelling, and illustration.
