El lapicero mágico · The Magic Pencil

written by Luis Amavisca & illustrated by Alicia Gómez Camus

One afternoon Margarita is eager to see her friends Daniel and Carlos. Together they go to the park and on the way they walk near Tick’s house. They would never have imagined what was about to happen! The cat, the strange gifts… A journey of sharing and imagination.  A tale of friendship and equality.

Luis Amavisca graduated in Musicology and Art History and he also completed a two-year program on the five senses in the Università dell’Immagine in Milan.  He is a plastic artist and he has also worked with photography, video and installations. He has exhibited his work in Málaga, Paris, Basel and Berlin. Some of his pieces belong to the permanent collection of the Málaga Centre for Contemporary Art. His books have been widely reviewed in the Spanish press. He is working on new texts for the SOMOS8 series.

Alicia Gómez Camus paints and also works with photo manipulation and illustration. She has combined her work as an illustrator with teaching for over ten years. She has received several prizes and we have recently seen her work as an illustrator in the Spanish TV program SuperNanny.
